Woo, vacation

Posting from my phone, so this will be short.

We got to the beach house late Saturday afternoon.  Small group this year: I think just over 30 total with 10 kids 10 or younger.

I’ve only finished one book here so far, but I read a book on the plane and another in the car on the way from Texas to Louisiana Friday night.  I’ve solved my rubik’s cube a number of times; there’s no shortage of kids willing to scramble it, though a couple have spent some time trying to solve a side.  I’ve also solved the 7-cube once, but I didn’t hand it off to the kids to scramble.

One of the few shells worth keeping that I’ve found so far is even bigger and more perfect than the big one I found last year.  Hopefully there will be a calm day when the shelling is good since it hasn’t been so far.

House Progress

I made an offer on the house I liked Sunday night (to be actually given to the other realtor Monday) and the offer was accepted Monday night. Closing is scheduled for mid to late July. Now I’m leaving on vacation Thursday so I have to get a bunch done for that before I leave. I also have to get a lot done at work, but I’m mostly working to pass off what I’m working on to someone else who can work on it next week. At least Allison is visiting so she took my car in (the rear bearings have issues and I now have an estimate on repairing that), and that’s a big help.

I also have to remember to clean and re-lube my rubik’s cube before I leave, though that’s not exactly a top priority.

WordPress Update

I just applied the latest wordpress security update and now it won’t open in a frame. Since my home page is frame based with all my frequently used links in a sidebar on the left set to open in the main frame, this is rather annoying. This indicates that it could be a Firefox only problem (can’t check at the moment without booting my desktop up), and at any rate other people are having other issues with the update, so hopefully it will be improved soon.
